Nomeada em homenagem aos m\u00e9dicos Dorothy S. Alder e Carlos Reilly, que a descreveram pela primeira vez em 1940, essa anomalia pertence ao grupo das mucopolissacaridose, um conjunto de dist\u00farbios gen\u00e9ticos caracterizados por defici\u00eancias enzim\u00e1ticas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Anomalia de Alder-Reilly \u00e9 heredit\u00e1ria e resulta de uma muta\u00e7\u00e3o gen\u00e9tica que afeta o cromossomo 16. Essa muta\u00e7\u00e3o interfere na atividade da enzima lisoss\u00f4mica chamada N-acetilgalactosamina-6-sulfato-sulfatase (GALNS), respons\u00e1vel por degradar os mucopolissacar\u00eddeos. A falta ou redu\u00e7\u00e3o dessa enzima leva ao ac\u00famulo anormal de subst\u00e2ncias como dermatano sulfato e condroitina-6-sulfato, causando danos aos tecidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Os sintomas da Anomalia de Alder-Reilly podem variar em gravidade, mas geralmente incluem deformidades \u00f3sseas, problemas de crescimento, comprometimento neurol\u00f3gico e anormalidades faciais. O diagn\u00f3stico muitas vezes ocorre na inf\u00e2ncia, quando os sinais cl\u00ednicos se tornam mais evidentes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Altera\u00e7\u00f5es nos granul\u00f3citos<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Essa anomalia poder\u00e1 ser sugestionada nos esfrega\u00e7os sangu\u00edneos, uma vez que atinge os granul\u00f3citos, onde pode aparecer gr\u00e2nulos grandes e abundantes, basof\u00edlicos ou viol\u00e1ceos, no citoplasma, semelhante \u00e0s granula\u00e7\u00f5es t\u00f3xicas grosseiras.
